My Experience

We are a boutique manufacturer specializing in high-end cables for speakers, headphones, and earphones. To achieve superior cable architectures that are difficult to implement in mass-production facilities, we design our own conductors via OEM and manually craft the insulation and geometry in-house. Finding a connector system that matched this level of craftsmanship was a challenge—until we discovered aeco. It was the only brand that perfectly aligned with our vision for both structure and aesthetics.

My Setup & Workflow

This is a high-end headphone cable crafted from conductors designed and manufactured in-house. Featuring pure silver as the primary conductor, it utilizes a combination of silk and PTFE (Teflon) as insulators, with a strategic air gap maintained between the conductor and the insulation layer. Each polarity features a substantial 19 AWG gauge, protected by composite insulation and a braided copper shield.

Everything from the choice of conductor materials and plating methods to the exceptional dielectric properties of the internal insulators, and even the wide shell diameters that accommodate thick cables, has been deeply satisfying.
